Akhilesh Yadav Calls for End to Discrimination

Samajwadi Party

Lucknow — On the occasion of Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti, Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav made a strong statement emphasizing the need to eliminate discrimination in society. Speaking at an event in Lucknow, Yadav urged the public to take inspiration from Maharishi Valmiki’s teachings and pledged to work toward a society free from any form of prejudice.

“Discrimination in society should end. It arises from time to time, but we must ensure it is eradicated,” Yadav said, calling on people to come together to build a more inclusive and equitable society.

Turning his attention to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Yadav accused the ruling party of spreading hatred in society. “The BJP has no time except to spread hatred. Their time is up now, and they need to go,” he remarked sharply, signaling his growing frustration with the central government.

Focus on Maharashtra and INDIA Alliance

Yadav also announced his upcoming visit to Maharashtra, where he aims to solidify the alliance with the INDIA coalition, a major opposition front against the BJP. “I am going to Maharashtra tomorrow. We will strive to strengthen our fight with the INDIA alliance,” he said. Expressing confidence in his party’s prospects, he added, “Where we had two MLAs, we expect to gain more seats, and we will support the INDIA alliance with full strength.”

The INDIA alliance, formed to challenge the BJP in key elections, has been gaining momentum, with Yadav’s Samajwadi Party playing a pivotal role in the coalition’s efforts to consolidate opposition votes.

Government Criticism Over Bahraich Incident

Akhilesh Yadav also took the opportunity to address the recent tragedy in Bahraich, where a large public gathering resulted in chaos and casualties. Yadav squarely blamed the government and administration for the incident, calling it a failure of both parties.

“The Bahraich incident is a clear failure of the government and administration,” Yadav stated. “Those who once talked about zero tolerance and claimed that every event would be conducted peacefully have failed. When such a significant event was being organized in Bahraich, why wasn’t adequate police security provided?”

He further criticized the administration’s lack of preparedness, questioning why they were unaware of the scale and nature of the program. “The administration bears full responsibility for this unfortunate incident,” Yadav concluded.

As the Samajwadi Party leader continues his efforts to galvanize support against the BJP, his statements on Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti, the INDIA alliance, and the Bahraich incident underscore his party’s focus on social justice, opposition unity, and government accountability.
